I've always been quite contrary, especially when it comes to books. My interests are certainly vast, but often off the beaten path. I say this to (hopefully) entice you, rather than scare you away. What I hope to do with this blog is introduce people, who have open minds and many interests, to books of all kinds. While the occasional best-seller will no doubt appear, it will be the exception rather than the rule.

Since I am partial to certain subjects and find others repulsive, I cannot promise to be of much assistance when it comes to math, science, technology and their decidedly bland offspring. I want to explore and share the artistic, eclectic, quirky—even eccentric. So, if you are of the same bent, please stick around.

Me

I am a tea drinking, hat wearing, dog lover with a penchant for strange knowledge and the written word. My greatest hope is that someday I will be able to put my passions and inclinations to use as a writer, editor, and publisher. I am a soon to be 24 year old (ah!). I graduated from Michigan State University in the summer of 2009.

My degree was in Professional Writing, Editing, and Publishing with a minor in Women, Gender, and Social Justice (It's quite fun rattling off that mouthful to unsuspecting innocents who ask me what I majored in). I am currently working on getting accepted to an MA program in publishing at Oxford Brookes University in Oxford, England. Both living in England and working in the publishing industry would be dreams come true for me.
